Magazine Content Development

The Zango Group offers content development for publications, typically business and technology magazines such as CIO, CSO, InfoWorld, and Macworld. Principal Galen Gruman covers a variety of topics for these publications, particularly enterprise technology trends and case studies from both the IT and strategic management perspectives. Enterprise Technology

Galen covers a variety of topics for these publications, particularly enterprise technology trends and case studies from both the IT and strategic management perspectives. He is a regular contributor to CIO and InfoWorld, and has served as West Coast bureau chief of Computerworld.

Business and Management

Galen has also covered business strategy and management issues, serving as executive editor of Upside and M-Business. His magazine work in this area focused primarily on the strategic use of technology in business, rather than on the technology itself.

Publishing Technology

A pioneer in the use of desktop publishing technology in the mid-1980s, Galen has shared that expertise with readers through both how-to books and magazine articles (reviews and how-to's), mainly in InfoWorld (1986-1998) and Macworld (1991-present).

Consumer Technology

Galen has covered personal technology since the PC was introduced, primarily for Macworld, where he served as a features editor and then executive editor from 1991 until 1998, and where he continues to contribute articles.

Engineering

Galen got his magazine start working on engineering magazines at the IEEE Computer Society, for whose IEEE Software he served as an associate editor and news editor from 1985 through 1991.
